Polyvinyl alcohol formaldehyde/polyvinyl acetal resin is a white or slightly yellow powder with a density of 1.20g/cm3. The Vicat softening point is 122 ℃. Water absorption (20 ℃, 24h) ≤ 1.2%. Dissolve in organic solvents such as ethanol, butanol, toluene, cyclohexanone, and ethyl acetate. Combining the excellent properties of polyvinyl formal and polyvinyl acetaldehyde, it has excellent toughness, wear resistance, heat resistance, oil resistance, and electrical performance.
It is mainly used to manufacture adhesive between abrasion resistant high strength enamelled wire coating and metal, wood, rubber, glass laminated plastic, as the middle layer of laminated plastic, and to manufacture foam plastic with high impact strength and large compression elastic modulus.
